- Akihiro is a skilled bamboo-fence craftsperson at Nagaoka Meichiku with more than 20 years of experience working with bamboo. In 2015, the Governor of Kyoto Prefecture designated him Certified Craftsperson of Kyo-Mono No. 113. The title Certified Craftsperson of Kyo-Mono is awarded to highly skilled and dedicated practitioners of the 34 categories of traditional craft designated by the Governor of Kyoto Prefecture.

50,000 JPY / personJoin a private experience for two or more guests and work alongside artisans from Nagaoka Meichiku to build a traditional bamboo fence for a historic temple, shrine, or cultural site in Kyoto. The artisans complete the design before the day; participants begin with the foundation work, then help clean, split, arrange, assemble, and tie the bamboo under direct guidance.
The completed fence is installed at the venue and is expected to remain part of the landscape for approximately five to ten years. This plan is priced by participant, while the separate Kyoto Bamboo Fence Team-Building Project is tailored to corporate objectives and custom project planning.
