Past EventHeld on July 25, 2026 · KyotoHiwatari-sai — Fire-Walking FestivalA night of fire, prayer, and purification on a Kyoto mountain. Guests crossed the sacred embers barefoot at Tanukidani-san Fudō-in, guided from Kyoto city to the very front of the fire.

Past EventHeld on October 18–19, 2024 · KyotoNight Festival of the Hidden MountainAn evening with the yamabushi of Tanukidani-san Fudō-in. Guests joined the goma fire ritual before Fudō Myō-ō in his sacred cave, carved a new path with the sacred sword of the Fire-Walking Festival, and shared mochi, kyogen and bamboo crafts by firelight.
