Yuzen Paper

Yuzen paper is Japanese paper (washi) dyed with the Yuzen technique originally used for kimono. In a well-organized factory, artisans dye sheets one by one, at a careful pace, using freshly mixed ink and originally made screens.

Dyed in several colors, the finished paper is three-dimensional, and gold reflects light in an amazingly beautiful manner. These sheets are made by Maruyama Senko in Nantan, Kyoto.
