Tatami Small Mat

Tatami, the traditional Japanese floor mat, has been produced in Japan for over a thousand years. The green material called igusa and its production technique decorate a Japanese-style room in a beautiful, comfortable and functional manner.

These small mats bring that surface into daily life as a tray, a display, or a place to set a cup. They are made by Ohta Tatami, a Nishijin studio established in 1939.
